CORE waiting area

The project of the CORE Waiting Area - Oncology and Hematology Center of Reggio Emilia - was conceived to make the waiting times of the little ones more pleasant and stimulating. This space was designed with the aim of offering elements of distraction and comfort, creating a welcoming and playful environment.

Since the space could not be occupied permanently, a piece of furniture on wheels was developed that serves as a large container, positioned against the wall. This element not only frees up a play area on the wall, but also becomes a game itself: a mobile jeep that opens up, stimulating children's imagination. On the other hand, the piece of furniture offers a comfortable seat, thus optimizing the functionality of the space.

In a dedicated niche, a relaxation area has been created that simulates a tree house, with integrated seats that invite rest and imagination. Each element of the waiting area has been custom-designed, ensuring a unique and innovative solution for the oncology center. This project not only enriches the waiting experience, but also contributes to creating a positive and reassuring environment for children and their families.
